2016 Jessica Run

The annual Jessica Run has been held since 2007. This year it was held at Cyberport on 3 April, 2016. The organizers "JESSICA" and " Jessica Charitable Foundation" hope that through healthy running activities, to arouse public awareness on their physical and mental health. It also hopes to raise funds for social welfare organizations which help the needy in the society.
The HKBSF is, of course, very supportive of this meaningful competition and sent 15 athletes and 15 sighted guide runners to participate this year. The visually impaired athletes and their guides were making their best efforts to run to the end at Cyperport. Along the way there were other sighted runners cheering to support our visually impaired athletes. The atmosphere was very lively. All our runners successfully completed the race. With their perseverance, the results of our runners in different categories were encouraging. The first three positions in the men’s and women’s 3 km run (visually impaired group) were won by our team.

Men’s 3 km
Champion: Chan Fai Ming cash award $1000
First runner-up: Chan Yiu Wing $500
Second runner-up: Tsang Chung Wing $300
Women’s 3 km
Champion: Wong Suk Yu cash award $1000
First runner-up: Chong Sim Fung $500
Second runner-up: Cheung Siu Ling $300
Men’s 10km
Champion: Chu Kin Wa cash award $1000
Women’s 10km
First runner up: Kwong Yuet Moon cash award $500
