The 11th Hong Kong Bowling Tournament for All cum 10th Hong Kong Blind Bowling Tournament on 23 May, 2021 at SCAA Bowling Centre.
The above tournament is the annual event organized by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation (HKBSF) and co-organized by the Rotary International District 3450. Due to the pandemic, the tournament has to be postponed to 23 May, 2021.
Although the Bowling Training Class has been suspended for quite some time due to the pandemic since December, 2020, our visually impaired members have made their best efforts to practice as soon as the bowling centre is re-opened in March, 2021 so as to be ready for the above tournament. There were 60 teams with 117 sighted and 39 blind members participated and was the largest scale bowling tournament for all in Hong Kong! Participating teams were mainly formed by various Rotary Clubs in Hong Kong, corporations like Sun Hung Kai Properties Volunteers Team, Gammon Construction Co. Ltd. and Kerry Logistics. Each team was formed by 3 sighted bowlers and 1 blind bowler. For the first stroke, each sighted player needed to be blindfolded to play.
The officiating guests of the opening ceremony included Ms Vivien Lau, Vice-President of Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and Chairman of the Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Congress, Mr Lui, member of the Executive Committee of the Paralympic Committee and Sports Association for the Disabled, Mr Roger Ngan, HKBSF Chairman, Mr. Peter Sun, HKBSF Founding Chairman, Mrs. Grace Chan, HKBSF Founder & CEO & Event Organizing Committee Chairman , Mr. Eron Chiu, HKBSF Vice Chairman, Dr. or Mr. Eric Chak, District Governor of Rotary International District 3450, District Governor Nominee, Mr Deli Li District Government Nomineee (Designate) and Mr. Frank Chan,President of Rotary Club of Kwai Chung & Co-Chairman of the Event Organizing Committee.
After rounds of fierce competitions, the following were the results of the visually impaired members for the Blind Bowling Tournament:

Before closing of the Tournament, Mrs. Grace Chan, CEO of HKBSF and Chairman of the Tournament expressed the hope that the Hong Kong SAR Government can see the contribution and achievements made by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation in the past 13 years for blind sports and will soon consider to grant HKBSF recurrent subvention so as to sustain the blind sports development in Hong Kong for the benefit of 150,000 Hong Kong visually impaired people.
