In order to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of China, Motor Transport Workers General Union hosted 2012 National Day Long Run, which received great support from the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation (In order to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of China, Motor Transport Workers General Union hosted 2012 National Day Long Run, which received great support from the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation (HKBSF). We have participated in this event successively for four years. The event started in Plover Cove Reservoir, Tai Mei Tuk, Tai Po, at 8:30 am.
In this event, 18 players with visual impairment entered the 10 km long run. The athletes were accompanied by the guide runners. They finally found their arena after long-term training. Their perseverance was worthy of our respect and reverence.
All the players won good results under different categories. For example, Kong Kwok Lin won the fifth place under the F6 category with a finishing time of 0:54:50. And Kwok Gin won the fifteenth place under the category of M3 with a finishing time of 0:49:26.
Leung Siu Wai won the eighteenth place under the category of M5with a finishing time of 0:41:20. And Chan Yuet Ying won the thirty-first place under the category of F5 with a finishing time of 1:01:34. Other players all managed to finish the competition.
We would like to express our gratitude to the coaches and players for the hard training and support without which it would be impossible to gain such favorable outcomes. We hope that all players can aim at better performance in the future with continuous efforts.
