Through sponsorship of the Hong Kong Life Insurance, our Federation sent a team of 40 persons consisting of visually impaired members and volunteers to participate in the disabled and abled-body relayThrough sponsorship of the Hong Kong Life Insurance, our Federation sent a team of 40 persons consisting of visually impaired members and volunteers to participate in the disabled and abled-body relay races of the captioned Championships held on 2 June, 2013, at the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks. The triathlon included 250m swim, cycling for 5.8 km and running for 1.6 km. Most of our members joined the running part, two visually impaired members also competed in swimming and running as well. In the end, the organizer: Hong Kong Life Insurance and the Hong Kong Life Triathlon Association presented us with a $20,000 cheque being funds raised through this event. We are grateful to their generous donation which will help us in the development of our sports programmes for the visually impaired.
