2013 Sai Kung Dragon Boat Race

On 12 June, 2013, the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation sent a total of more than 20 visually impaired athletes and volunteers to participate in the Dragon Boat Race 2013 held at Sai Kung Pier. The event was hosted by the Dragon Boat Race Preparatory Committee. Athletes of HKBSF participated in the Flying Dragon Group for junior and the Men and Women Mixed Medium Dragon races for a distance of 400 metres.
Mr Peter Sun, the Founding Chairman of HKBSF, joined the Flying Dragon Team to give his support. Faced with world-class competitors, our dragon boat team performed well and won the applause of the audience. The competition was even fiercer in the mixed group middle dragon race. Our dragon boat team won fourth place. The coach was satisfied with the team’s performance and the development of this sport is of great significance to the Federation.
