After winning second runner-up in the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races on 22 June, 2013, the HKBSF Dragon Boat Team won first runner-up in the Mixed Middle Dragon Silver Plate FinaAfter winning second runner-up in the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races on 22 June, 2013, the HKBSF Dragon Boat Team won first runner-up in the Mixed Middle Dragon Silver Plate Final Race of the 12th Hong Kong Dragon Boat Short Course Races held on 30th June 2013.
In the final race, there were totally six teams, including HKHS Fire Dragon, AIA Dragon Boat, Celestica, Panda Paddlers, Johnson Electric Dragon Boat Team and HKBSF Dragon Boat Team.
In spite of the heat, over 30 ° C, the athletes were fearless and with a strong will and much determination, they succeeded in winning first runner-up within the time frame of 1:01:03.
The coach indicated that the good performance of the team was the outcome of many practising hours during the past several months. Dragon boat races require not only the players’ firm determination and persistence, but also encouragement and support among team members. The coach believed that elite athletes of HKBSF will further strengthen their team spirits and belongingness after the dragon boat races.
