Through sponsorship of the Hong Kong Life Insurance, HKBSF sent a marathon team made up of 37 visually impaired athletes and volunteers to participate in the Para Relay of the Hong Kong Life TriathlonThrough sponsorship of the Hong Kong Life Insurance, HKBSF sent a marathon team made up of 37 visually impaired athletes and volunteers to participate in the Para Relay of the Hong Kong Life Triathlon Championships 2014, organized by Hong Kong Triathlon Association.
The Para Relay was divided into more than 10 groups by teams made up of visually impaired athletes and volunteers from HKBSF, and the Sunflower Volunteer team from Hong Kong Life Insurance. This time, participants needed to finish 250-metre swim, 5.8-kilometre cycling and 1.6-kilometre run. Our athletes took part in the run, while Sunflower Team competed in swimming and cycling, which fully reflected social inclusion spirit. The event was held at the Hong Kong Science Park at 10.30am.
HKBSF was chosen as one of the beneficiary organizations of the event. At the kick-off ceremony, HKBSF accepted the donation cheque from Hong Kong Life Insurance and Hong Kong Triathlon Association, which was of great significance to sports development for the visually impaired.
